 As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I coordinated a local “Voteless People are a Hopeless People” campaign. I also organized a Candlelight March and Vigil April 4th 1982 in memory of Martin Luther King Jr.
 As a member of the League of Women Voters, I spoke to youth groups, wrote Letters to the Editor supporting “League” causes, as well as participated in numerous Voter Registration drives.
